ASICS Lace Charm Bar - A'DAM Tower, Amsterdam

As part of ASICS's yearly training programme - helping their team get hands-on with new shoe technology - MattB Customs ran a lace charm bar at an evening event in Amsterdam's iconic A'DAM Tower, following a catwalk showcasing the product.

Best fit for: a brand event wanting a personalised takeaway experience that doubles as a workshop.

Pick 'n mix, sneaker-style

Guests chose from a full range of laces — from fluffy to fine, in different textures and sizes — and lace charms, with on-site custom engraving of charms and lace locks available on the night. We also pre-made a batch of custom charms carrying the event's own logo, so every guest could take home something made just for that evening and never repeated. Take-away bags meant guests could build their own combination on the spot — half personalisation station, half pick 'n mix.

The numbers

The event ran on 8 June, with around 100 attendees served over two hours at a casual pace.
